How to take care of the kitchen so that it lasts a long time?

If you have become the happy owner of a custom-made kitchen, then you need to know the basic rules for the care of kitchen furniture so that a custom-made kitchen will serve you for a long time and please you.

  1. Kitchen furniture, like any other thing, needs attention and care. This is the first and most important rule.
  2. Load drawers evenly, this will contribute to the correct operation of all mechanisms. Kitchen utensils on the shelves of hinged cabinets should be placed based on their weight: the heaviest items are closer to the supports and side walls, the lighter items are closer to the center of the shelf.
  3. Do not forget that all sliding mechanisms have load restrictions: – ball guide – up to 10 kg; – metabox (metal box) – up to 18 kg; – tandem box (Blum, Hettich, Grass) – from 20 to 70 kg, depending on the selected mechanism; - on racks and shelves in cabinets - up to 8 kg. Do not allow a vertical load on chipboard of more than 5 kg.
  4. For red-hot objects, the temperature of which reaches 100 C0, use a stand. In order to avoid spoilage, it is forbidden to place such items on the surface of the tabletop. An exception may be a tabletop made of natural stone.
  5. Kitchen furniture does not require special maintenance skills. To maintain order in the kitchen, wet cleaning with a soft cloth is enough. It is possible to use special polishes for plastics that are not contraindicated in contact with food products - read the manufacturer's instructions. In no case do not allow the use of abrasive detergents (soda), metal sponges and scrapers. After wet cleaning, wipe the surfaces dry.
  6. The manufacturer's recommendations should be used for cleaning and operating electronic household appliances. It is not necessary to cover the ventilation grills and openings that serve for ventilation.
  7. After some time of use, certain mechanisms (guides, locks, hinges, etc.) lose their initial adjustment and lubrication. Periodic regulation of such mechanisms and their lubrication is necessary. When the connections are loosened, it is necessary to tighten the threaded connections.
  8. Avoid mechanical damage. If they appear, we recommend replacing the damaged part.
  9. If the furniture is exposed to direct sunlight for a long time, certain surfaces may change tone (burning effect). Try not to let this happen.
  10. The recommended relative humidity in the room where kitchen furniture is placed is 65-80%. Do not allow moisture to enter the end areas of the table top if it is made of chipboard. Otherwise, it may bend and lose strength.
  11. In the kitchen, the recommended temperature for normal use of furniture is +10°C.. +28°C.
  12. When using furniture in a room with high humidity or low temperature, dry cleaning with a soft and clean cloth (outside and inside) is necessary to remove condensate.
  13. Constant use of the hood in the kitchen will repeatedly reduce the number of various particles of fat and other substances that settle on the surface of the furniture. Correctly calculate the power and choose the design of the hood.
  14. If possible, use special products for the care of stainless steel furniture parts. These products have good cleaning properties and create a water-repellent layer that provides additional protection.
  15. Do not allow liquids that dissolve paint coatings (gasoline, alcohol, acetone, solvent) to get on the surface of the furniture. If it does happen, wipe it dry immediately with a cloth.
  16. You should not leave the heated oven open for a long time - this can lead to damage to the furniture standing next to it. Do not start assembling the inside until it has completely cooled down.
